In an era marked by the pervasive influence of social media, its impact on professional development, particularly among librarians in Federal Universities of South-West Nigeria, is a topic of growing significance. This study examines the perspectives and experiences of librarians regarding the role of social media in their professional growth. Through a survey-based approach, data was collected to explore the extent to which social media platforms are utilized for professional networking, learning, and skill development. The findings shed light on the challenges and opportunities associated with leveraging social media for professional advancement in the context of academic librarianship in Nigeria.
