2. Author Responsibilities

Authors submitting manuscripts to GJHSS must ensure that:

  • All sources are appropriately cited and referenced.

  • Data presented are accurate, authentic, and obtained through ethical research practices.

  • All listed authors have made significant scholarly contributions to the work.

  • Any potential conflicts of interest are clearly disclosed.

  • Research involving human participants complies with applicable ethical standards and approvals.

Submitting a manuscript implies that all authors agree with the content and consent to its submission.

3. Plagiarism and Originality

GJHSS has a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools prior to peer review.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Direct copying without citation

  • Self-plagiarism or redundant publication

  • Inappropriate paraphrasing

  • Data or image manipulation

Manuscripts found to violate originality standards will be rejected immediately.

Redundant or duplicate publications are considered unethical and are not accepted.

5. Data Integrity and Research Misconduct

Authors are responsible for ensuring the integrity of research data. Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data constitutes research misconduct.

If misconduct is suspected, the journal reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including rejection, retraction, or notification to relevant institutions.

6. Peer Review Ethics

GJHSS follows a double-blind peer review process.

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively and constructively

  • Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts

  • Declare any conflicts of interest

  • Avoid using unpublished material for personal advantage

Reviewers must decline assignments if they are unable to provide an unbiased review.

7. Editorial Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for:

  • Making publication decisions based solely on academic merit

  • Ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and transparency

  • Managing conflicts of interest

  • Upholding ethical standards throughout the review process

Editorial decisions are independent of commercial or institutional influence.

8. Conflicts of Interest

All participants in the publication process (authors, reviewers, and editors) must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence their work.

Failure to disclose conflicts of interest may result in rejection or retraction of the published article.

9. Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern

The journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy of the scholarly record.

  • Corrections are issued for minor errors that do not affect the overall findings.

  • Retractions are issued in cases of major ethical violations, plagiarism, or unreliable data.

  • Expressions of concern may be published when investigations are ongoing.

10. Confidentiality

All manuscripts, reviewer reports, and editorial communications are treated as confidential. Information related to submissions is not shared outside the editorial process.

11. Complaints and Appeals

Authors may submit complaints or appeals regarding editorial decisions or ethical concerns. All complaints are handled fairly, transparently, and confidentially.

Decisions made after appeal review are final.
