Tracing its origins from the establishment of the Kachhawa dynasty in the 12th century, the study examines the evolution of royal customs, governance structures, and the socio-political role of the Rajlok within the broader context of Rajasthan's history. Through a detailed analysis of archival materials, royal edicts, and contemporary accounts, the paper highlights the interplay between sovereignty and splendor in the Kachhawa lineage, showcasing how the royal household functioned as a symbol of power, cultural patronage, and regional identity. The research also addresses the challenges faced by the Rajlok in modern times, including the impact of colonialism, post-independence reforms, and the preservation of heritage in contemporary society.
