Justice is one of the attributes of Yahweh. Judges were appointed in ancient Israel by Yahweh for the Israelites to live in peace and harmony with one another. However, it was observed that the Judges in ancient Israel did not live to expectation. Leviticus 19: 15 was chosen as a text of investigation to determine the response of Yahweh to the Judges and its implications for Judges in Nigerian democratic Context. Historical and Phenomenological methods were used for the research. It was discovered that one of the organs that is expected to play crucial roles in governance is the judiciary. The study revealed that Judges and leaders in ancient Israel failed Yahweh. Also, since the inception of Democracy in Nigeria, the Judiciary has played and is playing important roles to protect the system. One of the major roles of the Judiciary is justice and equity for all and sundry in all election petitions, disputes in political parties, removal and reinstatement of elected officer. It was observed that some members of the judiciary are not living to the expectation of the law and the people. Some of them compromise justice for pecuniary gains. Some Nigerians opined that Judiciary has been compromised and as such cannot be trusted in the events of manipulations of electoral process or results by the politicians and the electoral body that has the responsibility of conducting elections. In view of this, many Nigerians no longer have trust in the Judiciary and this has brought the vocation in to disrepute.

The administration of justice is one of the state's major tasks. According to Nepal's Constitution, the Judiciary is responsible for administering justice. The judiciary is a key institution supporting democracy and the rule of law. The Judiciary is responsible for upholding the rule of law by limiting the power of governmental organs to those granted by the Constitution and statutes. In a democratic state, the judiciary is the final resort for protecting people's rights. It promotes political stability and justice, resulting in a strong economy. The judiciary should be independent and responsible to the people and nation. Judicial independence indicates that it is apart from other governmental institutions, particularly the executive and legislative branches. It must be devoid of power, pressure, and other unnecessary elements.  Judicial independence refers to the principle that the judiciary's decisions should be free of interference from private or political interests. Judicial independence refers to a judge's capacity to make decisions without being influenced by other factors. Nepal's Constitution designates the judiciary as the guardian of fundamental rights and the Constitution itself. The constitution's preamble emphasizes the importance of an independent judiciary, the rule of law, democratic ideals, and structural and functional independence.  The constitution includes crucial measures that support an independent and accountable judiciary. This study has given emphasis on secondary sources of information relating to the concept of independent judiciary and its status in context of Nepal. This paper explores the topic of judicial independence in Nepal.  This study incorporates a judicial perspective to the idea of judicial independence. It has also incorporated constitutional and legislative provisions regarding judicial independence. 

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the Build Back Better World (B3W) initiative are two major global development strategies, with the former being associated with China and the latter led by the United States and Western partners. Both aim to uplift millions out of poverty and enhance infrastructure development worldwide. This research article provides an overview of both initiatives, drawing on secondary data from various sources such as journal articles, websites, and reports. The study suggests that the BRI, particularly its transportation corridors, could accelerate economic growth and poverty reduction in many developing nations. However, for these benefits to materialize, significant policy reforms are necessary, including measures to enhance transparency, ensure debt sustainability, and address environmental, social, and corruption risks. The research aims to assist policymakers in developing countries by offering independent, empirical analysis to help them assess the potential benefits and challenges of participating in BRI projects. It evaluates proposed transportation projects across more than 70 countries connected by BRI corridors spanning Asia, Europe, and Africa. Additionally, the study provides a set of policy recommendations aimed at helping developing countries in these corridors maximize the advantages of BRI involvement while minimizing potential risks.
